Enhancing the Resilience of Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems against External Threats

There has never been a more pressing need for novel and sturdy methods of bolstering system resilience than in today's period, which is characterized by the prevalence of industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS) and the unrelenting expansion of external threats. This research presents the “Integrated Resilience Framework (IRF),” a novel approach to strengthening ICPS's defenses against external attacks. The IRF is an all-encompassing and flexible framework that integrates several techniques, such as those for cybersecurity frameworks, machine learning and predictive analytics, and resilient hardware and redundancy. The results of our trials show that the IRF is much superior to conventional techniques for making ICPS more resilient. In addition to ensuring adherence to cybersecurity best practices, the integrated strategy uses machine learning and predictive analytics to identify and react to attacks in real time. In addition, the system's redundancy and fault-tolerant components provide continuous service with minimal interruptions. To sum up, the IRF is a game-changer for the study of ICPS resilience. It's a comprehensive, futuristic, and powerful answer that can outlast more conventional approaches.
