Fault Tolerance in The IoT: A Taxonomy Based on Techniques

In order to ensure that IoT systems are reliable, efficient and robust, it is important for failures to be easily detectable and effectively managed to minimize their impact on users. This is why fault tolerance approaches are necessary in the Internet of Things (IoT). This article provides an overview of failures in IoT systems and proposes a classification of fault tolerance techniques. It also explores various existing fault tolerance approaches that can be used to develop effective solutions.
