Dual-MIC Delay Matching for Adaptive Noise Cancellation

This paper proposes a new adaptive noise cancellation algorithm designed to improve speech quality in noisy environments. Background noise often degrades the quality of voice signals in various applications, such as online meetings and voice recognition. Since the performance of the adaptive noise cancellation degrades when the bandwidth of the noise is large. The proposed algorithm adopts a delay-matching method to synchronize the noise received from multiple microphones. The delay-matching minimizes the phase difference between the desired signal and the noise. The results show that our algorithm outperforms existing adaptive noise cancellation methods regarding noise removal performance. The ability to adapt to large spectrum noise and maintain high speech quality highlights its potential to transform the user experience in real-world scenarios.
