Mobile Adhoc Networks - Establishing MANET and Network Risk Profiles

Recent studies and fieldwork have pointed in the direction of making MANETS a publicly viable option in the event of another world event/crisis such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic. As opposed to their traditional military and emergency uses, this has become a focal point due to the evident strain that was observed on mainstream Internet Service Providers as substantial adjustments had to be made to facilitate a new ‘working-from-home’ public. This paper focuses on the primary concern of MANET risk and Security before public adoption by means of establishing a framework for Risk Identification and classification that subsequently generates a risk Profile for any particular MANET. The research and testing conducted are based on Network and MANET traffic Datasets. The findings of this paper points to the criteria necessary for the generation of a fairly accurate risk score using the developed Axiom Methodology for MANETS. The findings also provides graphical and empirical data that speaks to the levels of accuracy with existing Network traffic data and concludes the necessary criteria for producing the most accurate Risk Score within MANETS.
