IoT Based Smart Refrigerator and Shopping System Prototype

The functioning of the “Smart Refrigerator and Shopping System” is discussed herewith. The prototype was built using the ESP32 DEVKIT V1 DOIT as the IoT device and Blynk as the IoT cloud platform, and employs Ai Thinker's ESP32 Cam as the fruit recognition device using Edge Impulse's custom machine learning models. Sensors such as the MQ3 Gas sensor, HR04 Ultrasonic sensor and DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor were used. A shopping system consisting of a barcode and QR code scanner along with an interface for monitoring and purchasing products has also been incorporated. The app prototype is written in Python. It makes use of the Kivy and KivyMD libraries.
