Enhanced Network Lifetime and Efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks through Modified Multi- Chain PEGASIS with Mobile Sink Mobility

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are distinct from wired networks in that they are important for low-latency real-time data analysis. [3]. Energy conservation is a significant limitation influencing the lifespan of sensor nodes. In response, we propose a Mobile Sink Enhanced Energy-Efficient PEGASIS-Based Routing Protocol (MIEEPB) to prolong network lifespan. The approach involves placing the sink closer to nodes to decrease energy use. First, nodes are distributed evenly, and chains are formed from the farthest node to the base station. The chain leader is identified by the node that has the largest weight. Every node sends data to its nearest neighbor, which is then combined and sent to the base station by the chain leader. The mobile sink follows a defined course, traversing through the centers of all chains, extending network longevity and minimizing latency.
