Stability Analysis of Active Fractional-Order RC-Phase Shift Oscillator

Fractional order (FO) circuits and systems are an emerging field of study at present time. In this article, an active RC-Phase shift oscillator using an operational amplifier is used to demonstrate the application of an approximated RC symmetric fractional capacitor. Three fractional capacitors of various non-dependent orders are used in the FO RC-phase shift oscillator in this modelling to conduct the analysis. Along with the performance evaluation in the frequency and time domains, the responses' magnitude and phase are also analyzed. Later, in this study, steady-state step analysis is used to analyse the stability of the FO RC-phase shift oscillator.
