Optimization Control of Urban Rail Ground Supercapacitor Energy Storage System

With the rapid development of urban rail transit in China, the problems of increasing operating energy consumption and large voltage fluctuations of the traction network have become increasingly prominent. In recent years, energy storage-type regenerative braking energy absorption and utilization devices with the purpose of energy-saving and voltage regulation have been gradually popularized and applied in the field of urban rail transit in China. Because supercapacitor has the advantages of high power density and long cycle life, it is an ideal energy storage element, so this paper takes the ground supercapacitor energy storage system (ESS) as the research object. The voltage loop control is proposed to improve the voltage regulation and energy saving effect of the ESS. In this paper, an experimental platform for supercapacitor energy storage for urban rail transit is built. Based on this platform, experiments were carried out on charging voltage outer loop fuzzy adaptive PI control strategy. The experimental results verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the above strategies.
