Analyzing Business Trends in the Utilization of Paylater Services

The e-commerce Fintech service that is growing rapidly is Buy Now Pay Later or Paylater. Paylater is an innovation that can change the culture of manual payment systems to become more modern. The presence of paylater makes it easier for people to make e-commerce transactions. Paylater services can change the way users choose payment methods. Paylater services can increase purchasing power and excessive spending, which can lead to the risk of overinvestment due to unpaid bills. Based on previous research regarding the use of paylater, further research is still needed that focuses on the user's perspective. This research aims to determine the critical factors that influence users' interest in using paylater in online transactions. This study conducts a mapping analysis of previous research and manages data using the Partial Least Squares-Structure Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with an outer model, inner model, and significance analysis test in testing data from profesional respondents. This research uses the UTAUT2 model to analyze the factors that influence users’ use of paylater in online transactions. The results of this research provide information regarding user behavior to be responsible for data security in using the payLater service feature in e-commerce and for e-commerce parties to further improve the data security system as an effort to increase user confidence in using the payLater feature.
