Methods of Identifying and Reducing Covert Channel Attacks: An Analysis

Many people have long been interested in secret interaction across a system of connections. It has drawn not just trustworthy entities to interact covertly with one another, but also attackers/ hackers to develop methods to uncover as well as disclose data and utilize the system in manners that break safety protocols. Covert channels have been employed to transport data in a secure manner. In recent years, the focus of protocols of the computer networks has switched to hidden channel routes. This survey shows the overview of the mechanisms adopted for the detection and the mitigation of the covert channel-specific attacks that might ruin the confidentiality of the data being transmitted from one source to the other destination.
