Design Of Uwb Mimo For Bio Medical Applications

This paper presents the design and characterization of a Ultra-Wideband Multiple Input Multiple Output antenna intended for operation within the frequency range of (2.13-2.36 GHz) and (4.7-20) GHz. The antenna is engineered to resonate at specific frequencies, namely 2.23, 5.44, 8.23, and 9.41 GHz, to cater to various applications requiring precise frequency response. The design integrates compact and low-profile features, making it suitable for integration into biomedical wearable devices. The proposed antenna architecture exhibits excellent impedance matching, radiation efficiency, and low cross-correlation between the MIMO elements. The resonant frequency of 2.23 GHz aligns with microwave frequencies commonly used in non invasive medical imaging techniques, while 5.44 GHz is associated with the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band, often employed in short-range wireless medical telemetry. Frequencies at 8.23 GHz and 9.41 GHz find relevance in microwave-based biomedical sensing and diagnostics.To enhance its performance, we will introduce a decoupling element within the MIMO antenna design. By reducing inter-element coupling, we aim to minimize interference and achieve improved signal quality. This antenna design will make it suitable for bio-medical applications,providing better reliability and accuracy.
