Design of Low Propagation Loss Hollow-Core Antiresonant Fiber for THz Region

This work proposes a novel hollow-core antiresonant fiber (HC-ARF) that provides low loss in the terahertz region. The fiber has a hollow core with four elliptical and circular ring cladding tubes. The investigation was carried out for a frequency band of 0.5-2.8 THz using the COMSOL multiphysics tool with Zeonex as background material. This fiber gives a low propagation loss (PL) of 2.3×10
