Interactive Web-Based Interpreter of the $\lambda$-Calculus

In this paper, we present the development and evaluation of an interactive teaching tool for the visualization of term reduction of the
$\lambda$
-calculus computational model. The concept of the
$\lambda$
-calculus is taught at our University as part of the graduate course in Type Theory. The main idea behind the development of this tool is to provide students with an environment, where they can visualize reduction steps of
$\lambda$
-calculus terms, experiment, and test their knowledge in an interactive way, which could help them with a better understanding of the subject. Our tool is developed in the form of a responsive web application, that makes it more accessible for a larger range of users, and across different types of devices.
