A Green Nano-Chemical Dispersant/Inhibitor Design for Asphaltene in Crudes of Iraqi Oil-Fields

Asphaltenes are a large and diverse family of molecules that can cause significant problems in the oil and gas industry. Nano inhibitors are an extremely effective way of controlling asphaltene deposition, and offer a number of benefits over traditional inhibitors. Asphaltene has shown to be problematic in flow assurance. throughout the life cycle of production of crude oil. This paper introduces the syntheses of a novel green nano chemical inhibitor as a base to overcome these challenges. The green Zinc Oxide NPs and green Copper oxide NPs have shown promising results. It was found that using ZnO and CuO NPs will greatly improve the asphaltene dispersion in crude by almost 23%, as compared to the commercially available inhibitors using ADT.
