LVDC microgrid topology, control and protection in the EU funded project Hyperride

This paper describes the preparation for the demonstration of a Low Voltage Direct Current (LVDC) microgrid, including an analysis of the benefits and challenges posed by the DC implementation. The study includes the control methods and the protection strategy proposed for the demonstrator. Furthermore, a qualitative description and preliminary results of the demonstrator will be provided, as obtained within the EU funded research & development project Hyperride.
