A Review on Optimizing Endodontic Procedures: Integrating AI and Single- File Systems for Enhanced Efficiency and Precision

Formerly, in endodontics those same conventional stainless-steel files which comes under the category of hand files were used for disinfection, cleaning along with shaping of the canal within the tooth root. The biological and mechanical goals of endodontic treatment cannot be met without effective shaping as well as cleaning of root canal system. Goal is to eliminate as much organic material from root canal system as feasible. Single file systems are classified basically into two groups: continuous rotating and reciprocating files. Various types of files system comes under the single file system that are waveone, F360, Tfile, SAF, one shape and reciproc file system. To avoid torsional breakage, the single file technique (wave one and reciproc) uses repeating movement with CW and CCW cutting angles which are not equal rather than a completely rotating movement of NiTi files. Therefore, for these preparation or procedure various files has been evolved. Many disadvantages were reported on using these hand files such as transportation of canal, file breakage along with more time consuming to complete the procedure. Hence, the objective of this review article is to eliminate all these shortcomings by using recent advancements in these file systems. Now because of these root canal treatment has been more secure, convenient, feasible and overall less time taking. This step in advancement is marked as major success to deal root canal procedure. Single File System is a revolutionary approach to root canal preparation. No system is prime or superior otherwise everyone would be using the same system every time. Single file system requires less time for shaping and cleaning of canal as well as they are beneficial as they are able to reach to difficult canals and most apical portion of the root apex.
