Development of a Wearable Electrooculography (EOG) System to Measure the Potential Difference Between Retina and Cornea

In this proposed work, the development of an innovative Wearable Electrooculography (EOG) system that seamlessly integrates with a computer interface is developed. This advanced wearable technology is engineered to capture and precisely measure the electrical potential difference between the retina and cornea, leveraging the electrical signals produced by eye movements. These physiological signals are meticulously acquired, processed, and stored as EOG signals, covering both horizontal and vertical eye movements. After the data acquisition phase, the EOG signals are preprocessed that involve filtering, followed by a comprehensive signal analysis. Simultaneously, the system consistently tracks and records eye movements with the aid of a personal computer. The resulting wearable EOG system not only unlocks new opportunities in the realm of neuroscience but also provides a valuable platform for conducting research in brain-computer interfaces.
