A C-Band High Conversion Efficiency Rectifying Circuit with High Output Power

This paper designs a high conversion efficiency rectifying circuit at C band. The rectifier consists of a single branch matching circuit, a GaN Schottky diode, and a dc-pass filter. Firstly, the SPICE model of the diode is established by using ADS software to obtain the optimal load and the optimal input power. Secondly, the impedance matching circuit at the input and the dc-pass filter at the output are designed. The dc-pass filter is used to suppress the fundamental and the higher harmonics, which can recycle the electromagnetic energy and improve the rectifying efficiency. According to the simulation results, the proposed rectifying circuit has a maximum conversion efficiency of 80.9% on 60$\Omega$ load at 5.8 GHz when the input power is 36.7dBm.
