Study on the single-phase five-level inverter under the new power system

The grid-integrated photovoltaic (PV) and wind power into the new power system is one of the key research topics today. Grid-integrated inverters, as devices that convert and inject electrical energy into the grid, offer advantages such as high efficiency and reliability. However, challenges remain in overcoming issues like input discontinuity and output instability in grid-integrated inverters. Therefore, this paper proposes a grid-integrated inverter based on PWM control, namely the Symmetrical Cascaded Half-Bridge Inverter (SCHB). Firstly, the function and characteristics of the SCHB inverter are elucidated. Next, the working principle of the SCHB inverter is elucidated. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed SCHB inverter is validated through simulation analysis.
