Study on Test Plan Establishment for Enhancing Trustworthiness of Artificial Intelligence Systems

Compared to traditional software, artificial intelligence systems (AIS) include uncertainty in the inference results during the training process, which is one of the factors that could undermine the trustworthiness of the system. To overcome this uncertainty of AIS, a trustworthiness test plan establishment that accounts for the complexity and operational environment is required. In this study, four requirements that must be considered by the system designers, developers, and quality managers are proposed for establishing the test plan of the trustworthiness of AIS. If AISs satisfy the proposed requirements, it will help secure safety and transparency among the AI trustworthiness factors.
