AutoHom - A Decentralized Voice-Controlled Home Automation System

The increasing prevalence of smart devices in homes has created a need for an intelligent system to manage these devices. However, traditional approaches are often expensive and require Wi-Fi-enabled devices. These systems often act as a centralized hub to control smart devices, leading to scalability issues. To address this challenge, AutoHom proposes a decentralized, voice-controlled solution where each room in a home is an independent unit. The proposed system is designed to integrate easily with existing home infrastructure and provides an app that offers manual and voice control of devices. Additionally, the system features automatic voice prompting for providing alerts and suggestions to the user based on the device's sensing of the current environment, and each node can be put into Guard mode to act as a multi-point security system for a home.
