A Three-Dimensional Range Migration Algorithm for Near Field MIMO Imaging

A three-dimensional range migration algorithm for 2-D wideband multiple input multiple output (MIMO) is proposed in this paper. Due to the square root term in the round-trip distance expression in MIMO, the wavenumber domain signal not only contains constant and linear phase terms, but also contains non-linear phase terms. This paper applies Taylor expansion to wavenumber domain signals to obtain approximate expressions for frequency domain signals containing constant terms, linear phase terms, and higher-order phase terms, and compensates them by multiplying them by matched filters. Finally, high-precision images are reconstructed using the compensated signal and the proposed 3D wavenumber mapping algorithm. The simulation results analyze and compare the differences in imaging quality before and after compensation, verifying the feasibility and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
