Low-profile Multi-beam Lens Antenna with Corrugation to Suppress Surface Reflection of High-permittivity Material in 300 GHz Band

This paper presents a low-profile multi-beam lens antenna with corrugation formed on the lens surface to suppress the surface reflection due to the high-permittivity material. Low profile is achieved by the design of low focal-to-diameter (F/D) ratio and high permittivity material. Reflection on the lens surface is reduced by 1-dimensional corrugation for easy manufacturing. Multi-beam performance was obtained by feeding from horns arranged one-dimensionally as primary radiators. The gain improved by larger than 1.2 dB for multi-beam covering over a 30-degree angular range at 270 GHz.
