Enhancing Complex Geometric Mesh Generation with the Genetic Algorithm

In computational applications of engineering, the foundational step involves modeling and the establishment of a grid to represent the geometric characteristics of a problem. The generation of a precise grid is important in computational science, particularly for improved approximations. Using a genetic algorithm (GA), we formulated a cost function to identify unstable grid points within grids generated by the MIMICS platform. Subsequently, a new grid was constructed to ameliorate the stability of the grid. From the computational perspective for the generation of grids for human organ models, the effectiveness of grid computations, following localized adjustments was verified by generating an optimal solution on a broader scale. This method is characterized by its simplicity and feasibility and contributes to enhancing the precision of scientific computing with the integration of artificial intelligence. Additionally, the method provides a foundation for supporting medical practitioners in diagnostic decision-making.
