Effects of Different LED Light Compensation on Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) on Hydroponics System Using Easy Method Leaf Area Estimation for Growth Monitoring

Artificial lighting as light compensation on crops improved growth in terms of weight and measurements. Hydroponics is popular due to its versatility in setting for urban farming. We created a different LED combination for light compensation on lettuce in a hydroponic system. Conventional tools for leaf area measurements are slow and inaccurate. Thus, the proposed method allowed for the growth of the leaf efficiently. The result showed that the proposed algorithm obtained 97% accuracy. The Red and Blue LED combination most impacted the growth of the leaf of the lettuce with an average of 23.44 cm

. The Blue and Green LED combination showed an average of 19.99 cm
²
, and lastly, the Red and Green LED combination showed 18.96 cm
