Low Profile Dipole Antenna Based on AMC and FSS

By incorporating the AMC structure and FSS, the height of the conventional dipole antenna profile is significantly decreased to 0.07λ. Since the FSS operates within the frequency band, it does not affect the antenna pattern and ensures pattern stability. Additionally, thanks to the in-phase reflection enabled by the AMC structure, the antenna achieves remarkably high gain across the bandwidth. The antenna finally obtained a relative bandwidth of 24.2% and a stable broadside pattern in the operating band.
