Mutually synchronized stabilized class E oscillators

Improvement of frequency stability of class E power oscillators can expand their area of applicability. This work studies the frequency stability of mutually synchronized Class E oscillators coupled through a distributed resonator built on transmission line segments and a high-quality factor resonator. The zones of partial oscillators’ mis-tuning that still ensure the synchronization are considered, as well as accompanying conditions for obtaining the desired frequency or phase shift. The work proposed a new topology of connecting a quartz resonator into the distributed resonator that acts as the linking network between the mutually synchronized oscillators, aiming their frequency stabilization. Simulation and experimental investigation of the described system of mutually synchronized oscillators were performed. The frequency stabilization under the influence of destabilizing factors was confirmed.
