Entrepreneurship Development and Sustainability in Islamic Nations: Case of Jordan

The purpose of the paper is to explore the status of entrepreneurship education at all Jordanian universities. The study employed descriptive analytics using a survey and a web search of all Jordanian universities. The key findings of this study are that even though Jordanian universities provide a variety of entrepreneurship courses; entrepreneurship education is not yet effectively integrated into the curricula of all Jordanian higher education institutions. The findings also showed that entrepreneurship education generally relies on theoretical knowledge and is taught from a business administration perspective. The study recommends that; entrepreneurship courses should be properly incorporated into the curricula of all disciplines of study. Higher education policymakers should seek to ensure a realistic model for teaching entrepreneurship.
