Comparative Study of Metainspired Resonators for Copper Sensing in Water Bodies

This work intends to observe the simulated response, based on experimental data, of three proposed sensors aiming to identify different concentrations of copper in water samples, as the MUT. Initially, solutions of distilled water, with 99.6% purity metallic copper powder, were prepared at concentrations of 0 mg/L, 8 mg/L and 10 mg/L. With the difference of resonance frequencies presented by each one of solutions on reflection coefficient, there was defined the frequency shifts analysis. The sensors were considered more sensitive according to the values of frequencies shifts. There were designed three types of sensors: a CSRR with a FR4 substrate, two SCRC - based with FR4 substrate and a CSRR with a PLA substrate. The last one presented almost 400 MHz by varying the concentration from 0 mg/L to 10 mg/L.
