A Simple Driver for Series-Connected IGBT’s

The article presents a scheme and principle of operation of a simple driver for controlling series-connected IGBTs for applications where the duty cycle of the control pulses does not exceed 50 %. The driver is characterized by the presence of few elements in the final stages, without introducing additional feedback and adjustment loops, using modern magnetic materials. Schemes and computer simulation results are presented. Here are shown the oscillograms of the control pulses for four transistors at different duty cycles as well as during the switch on and off edges.
