Reduced Length Linear Tapered Slot Antenna

Tapered Slot antennas have the capability to operate in the ultra-wide band (UWB). Various studies examining their structural characteristics have revealed specific operational conditions. Moreover, it has been deduced that their performance tends to be less optimal at lower frequencies. Additionally, their large physical dimensions pose challenges for various applications. Consequently, the primary objective of this research is to propose a solution that can reduce the antenna's size while optimizing its maximum directivity. To achieve this goal, we conducted an analysis of different antenna designs. Through simulation, we determined that it is possible to achieve an antenna length of
$\mathbf{0.5}\boldsymbol{\lambda}$
with a corresponding directivity of 5.55 within a 0.75 directivity bandwidth (frequency band where the directivity is at least half of its maximum).
