Applications of In-Situ Module I-V Measurement for PV System Performance Monitoring & Control

New measurement devices are available that provide the ability to continuously measure current-voltage (I-V) curves and associated parameters on individual modules in-situ within a PV plant. This opens the possibility for many new monitoring applications with increased resolution into PV module performance. Here we review the technology of in-situ I-V measurement and discuss potential applications.
