A Research on User Cooperative Task Offloading Strategy of UAV-MEC Network

MEC has limitations when the number of mobile users rapidly rises or when network signals deteriorate in outlying areas. UAVs are an excellent choice for improving IoT device communication due to their great mobility and low deployment costs. This paper proposes a novel and innovative interaction mechanism between UAVs and mobile devices to improve users’ quality of experience (QoE) by correctly deploying UAVs to serve ground users. The calculation offloading strategy based on the Improved Sparrow Search Algorithm (ISSA) aims to minimize service delay and the weighted sum of UAV energy consumption for optimal system performance. Numerical experiments show that the improved framework has better overall performance than traditional algorithms.
