Adapting Assessment during the COVID-19 pandemic

The purpose of the study is showing a way of assessment of students learning in a subject of a postgraduate academic program during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, from semester 2021-1 until 2023-1. The assessment was applied to evaluate competencies during a course. We considered placement, formative and summative assessment. The results showed an evaluation experience in the development of courses, observations over 5 semesters are described that show how the evaluation evolved. It focusses on the evaluation of the students and not on the development of the course. The placement assessment is rare used, only at beginning of the course. Formative assessment is continuous, several activities was practiced. Summative assessment is complex; the evaluation must be comprehensive rather than integrated; formulas that weight one type of learning more than others have not been validated. The most important learning is knowing how to know.
