Influence of Quadratic Gradient Boundary on Cable Fault Location based on Impedance Spectrum

When applying integral transform to analyze impedance spectrum to locate latent faults in cable, the influence of fault boundary on location results is not fully considered, which may affect the feasibility of field application. In this paper, simulation research is conducted to explore how a nonlinear quadratic gradient boundary influences the fault location result when applying integral transform to analyze impedance spectrum. The conclusion drawn from this research can be an important supplement to the application of integral transform method to locate potential faults in power cable.
