Design of a Wideband and High – Gain Stacked Cylindrical DRA for WLAN, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX Applications

In this study, a wideband, high-gain stacked cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) is examined. The antenna consists of two unequal cylindrical dielectric resonators (DRs) with varying permittivity values (
$(\varepsilon_{\mathrm{r}1}=15$
and
$\varepsilon_{\mathrm{r}2}=2.2$
) that are centrally supplied in order to provide a broad frequency band with high gain. The stacked uneven cylindrical DRA has a diameter of 50 by 50 and is intended for use with WLAN, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX. A simulated bandwidth and peak gain of 4.86 GHz to 6.41 GHz and 9.19 dB are observed by the stacked cylindrical DRA. The software ANSYS HFSS does the simulation. This research paper's antenna design will therefore be useful for wireless applications.
