Standard antenna measurement for mobile communication based on the three-antenna extrapolation technique

To achieve the uncertainty requirement of 0.25dB for antenna gain measurement in the communication industry standard (YD/T 2868–2020), the three-antenna extrapolation technique is used to measure the standard antenna employed in the mobile communication base station measurement, and for comparison the traditional reference antenna method is also implemented. The measurement results of the two methods are compared, and the uncertainty of the gain is evaluated. It indicates that using the three-antenna extrapolation technique can achieve a 0.2dB uncertainty for the standard antenna in this case. The measurement analysis provides an usefull example for the measurements of similar antennas.
