Integrated Radar Jamming and Secure Wireless Communication Based-on Photonics at Ka-Band

Integrated radar jamming and secure communication will play an important role in future electronic warfare systems. In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel scheme that integrates radar jamming signal generation and chaotic encryption wireless communication based on photonics. The experimental results indicate that range deception jamming is conducted. Meanwhile, the encrypted 16 quadrature amplitude modulation (16QAM) signal over 1.5 m wireless transmission are achieved. The proposed scheme effectively combines the capabilities of degrading enemy radar detection and enhancing its own wireless communication security, which may be a potential application for electronic countermeasures in the future.
