All polarization-maintaining mode-locked figure-nine fiber laser with pulse switchable

We experimentally demonstrate a self-starting all polarization-maintaining mode-locked figure-nine fiber laser, three different types of output pulses can be obtained by adjusting the pump power, including loosely bound pulse, dipulse, and monopulse. When the pump power reaches 242 mW, the laser can realize self-starting mode-locked with multi-pulse state, and the loss-locked threshold is 55mW. The obtained solition pulse repetition rate is 7.84MHz, the central wavelength is 1560nm, and the 3dB bandwidth is 3.1nm, SNR can reach up to 67.3dB. In the monopulse state, the laser output average power is 0.528 mW and the single pulse energy is 0.067 nJ. In addition, The power stability of the laser was measured lasting 120min, which proved that the laser has well working stability.
