Prototype of Automatic Control of Freight Elevator Models in a 3-Floor Building

Elevator is a means of transportation that is used as a means of vertical transportation in a high building, an elevator is used to transport people or goods. Freight elevators in modern times have automatic buttons, the problem that is common in simple freight elevators is that they are usually not regulated with complete automatic control buttons but are only determined by pressing the start and stop buttons which are operated manually so that they are not safe from a work safety standpoint. In an effort to minimize the risk of work accidents, in developing this prototype, designing an elevator model from manual buttons replaced with automatic buttons, efforts to control the process of working elevator models, namely a microcontroller are needed. The purpose of this study is to change the manual elevator control buttons to automatic elevator control buttons that are installed on each floor, by adding automatic door opening and closing and the process of going up and down the elevator cage automatically using rails equipped with timing belts and several electronic components. The stages in this research method are to design a prototype of the automatic arrangement of the freight elevator model in a three-floor building using the Arduino Mega 2560 based microcontroller method. The results of the research are an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller can operate and be implemented, to design this prototype, easier operation, thereby reducing the potential for operational errors and avoiding the risk of injury or injury damage to equipment.
