Design and Realization Bandpass Filter 2.4 GHz Using Symmetric Step Impedance Resonator

This paper shows the design, simulation, and realization of a bandpass filter that uses the stepped impedance resonator method, where both resonators are made to be the same shape and symmetric. This bandpass filter is designed and realized to be able to work in the S-band frequency range, mainly working at frequencies 2.4 GHz. The same form of a bandpass filter system is intended to get a better response, including response bandwidth, insertion loss, and return loss. This bandpass filter is designed using materials from Duroid Roger 4350, which has a dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_{r}$) of 3.66 and has a thickness of 1.527 mm. The design is performed to simulate several filter responses for a return loss of 22.047 dB, insertion loss of −0.77 dB at 2.4 GHz, and a bandwidth of 180 MHz.
