38 GHz Wideband and High Gain Stacked Antenna Modelling for 5G Applications

This paper introduces the design features of a novel stacked antenna that possesses highly compact broadband and omnidirectional radiation properties. The proposed antenna covers a wide frequency range of 34 to 44 GHz, encompassing dual potential bands in the 5G spectrum such as 36, and 38 GHz. The proposed antenna has a simple design process, low complexity, and desirable features such as a wide impedance bandwidth, and omnidirectional radiation. These qualities make it suitable for fulfilling the requirements of 5G applications. The achieved minimum gain is 6 dBi for the entire frequency range of operation.
