Applications of the Adaptive Filtering Algorithm for Ultra-high Resolution Electrocardiosignals

The development and implementation of a new proprietary method of ultra-high resolution electrocardiography (UHR ECG) is based on the development of procedures for digital processing of recorded ultra-high resolution electrocardiosignals (UHR ECS). It is the digital processing of these weak signals, including digital filtering, that determines the possibility of studying the fine structure of micropotentials that carry diagnostic information about the development or absence of the studied pathologies of the cardiovascular system at earlier stages of their development. It is known that during electrocardiographic studies, electrocardiographic signals are affected by various interferences caused by external power sources, magnetic field, and internal noise of the recording device. The paper presents the use of a special adaptive algorithm for filtering the UHR ECS, which allows processing the data under study using records of the idling of the recording device. The efficiency of the presented algorithm was evaluated by such parameters as mean square error (MSE) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). In addition, a comparison is made between the proposed adaptive algorithm and a comb digital filter.
