A BW-Extended Blocker-Tolerant Receiver with RF Passive-Gain and High-Order BB Impedance Achieving 30dBm OOB-IIP3 and 110MHz RF-BW

A bandwidth (BW)-extended blocker-tolerant receiver (RX) is proposed, which is characterized by a high-linearity fully-passive differential RF front-end and an enhanced RF selectivity $2^{\text{nd}}$-order baseband (BB) impedance. In order to relaxing the trade-off between the linearity and noise figure (NF), the implicit capacitive stacking technique is employed at radio frequency (RF) front-end to provide 6dB passive gain. Meanwhile, the complex poles introduced in $2^{\text{nd}}$-order $BB$ impedance are aimed to simultaneously achieve 40dB/ decade roll-off and widen RF-BW. When implemented in 65nm CMOS process, the simulation results show that at $\Delta\mathrm{f}=4X RF-BW$ the $RX$ achieves 30 dBm OOB-IIP3 and 110 MHz channel BW. Covering from 0.4 to 2.5 GHz, the NF ranges 4.2 to 5.5dB while the RX consumes a reasonable power of 26.8 to 77.2mW.
