Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Photonic Imaging Systems

We present and demonstrate a phased array architecture that performs real-time optical-upconversion of received signals and renders a video-rate image of the passive microwave and/or millimeter-wave scene, with sensitivity NETD <1K at 30 Hz frame-rates. A modular fabrication approach for reduced SWaP-C is also presented.
