Digital Signal Processing for 1.6 Tb/s+ Intra-Data Center Networks

Next generation intra-data center links will be operating at 1.6 Tb/s. Intensity modulation and direct detection together with pulse amplitude modulation is regarded as the most cost-efficient and practical solution. We review the challenges for digital signal processing enabling rates of 200 Gb/s/λ and beyond.
