Influence of Co-Frequency Interference on Transmission Performance in Satellite Communication

The potential threat of cofrequency interference between different satellites, or between the different satellite beams for multiple-beam satellite systems. Because of the clear advantage of the short communication distance between the satellite and ground, the loss of the free space and transmission delay are a lot smaller than geo-stationary orbit (GEO) satellites. The superiority from short distance indicates that the transmitted power from the satellite and user-end could be much smaller than the situation of high-order systems. The power reduction is accompanied with the utilizing of high-order modulation method for improving the utilization efficiency of spectrum with the increasing of communication capacity, which is the development trend of satellite communication in future. The degree of co-frequency interference is crucial to the transmission performance of the system. It can provide some references for the analysis of co-frequency interference in future.
