Implementation of Hybrid Energy System under Varying Loading Condition in MATLAB/Simulink

This paper basically presents the designing of HES (Hybrid Energy System) of SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) & WES (Wind Energy System) in MATLAB/Simulink environment. Researchers from all over the world have focused a lot of attention on a variety of renewable energy sources (RES) that are essential for providing vital electrical power with less use of conventional source of energy. Basically there are two mainly used RES are the sun and the wind. Electricity generation from the two RES depends upon the amount of irradiance from the sun and wind speed. But solar irradiation and wind speed are two significant elements that are subject to unconditional change, it depend upon the weather condition. The electricity generation through integration of the power grid is very challenging because it does not produce sufficient power as according to load demand. So in order to generate continuous amount of electricity, a hybrid energy system has been implemented in place of a single energy system. In the designed system a domestic as well as industrial load is connected to the hybrid system and power consumed by these sources under varying loading condition have been analyzed by MATLAB/Simulink.
