Design, Fabrication, and Characterization of a Graphene-based Flexible Electrode for In-Vivo Evaluation of Wound Healing in Mice

The study presents a flexible electrode design for electrical stimulation therapy (EST) for in vivo evaluation of wound closure. The design of four-panel electrodes using AutoCAD software is discussed in this study. The distribution of potential and electric field across the four-panel electrode was examined using the commercial finite element modelling (FEM) package, COMSOL Multiphysics

5.6 software. The Fujiflm Dimatix Printer DMP2850 series inkjet printer was used to print out the four-panel flexible electrode on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates. The conductive components of the flexible electrode were made of graphene-based conductive ink, commercialised as Mi-GraphPrInk by MIMOS Berhad (Malaysia). The printed four-panel electrode was examined using field effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Raman spectroscopy.
