Coordination and Control Strategies of a Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid

In order to reduce grid conversions, this study suggests a hybrid alternating current/direct current microgrid. Multidirectional hybrid grid converters connect AC and DC networks. Networks in DC and AC connect sources and loads. Networks in DC or AC can be used by energy storage devices. Use hybrid grids or connect them. Transmission of alternating and direct current electricity as well as reliable operation in the face of shifting demand and generation conditions are provided by coordination control systems. The efficiency of the control techniques used for the system's various components' ability to adapt to changing situations is examined. The system's capabilities are demonstrated by the simulation results produced in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Variations in solar irradiation were well managed, and a constant DC connection voltage of 500 V was maintained throughout. The hybrid microgrid continuously delivered 10 kW of electricity to DC loads to ensure uninterrupted operation. Battery activities were seen, and current dynamics and state of charge (SOC) lined up as anticipated.
